Gota Sofa Collection
Gota is a sofa collection defined by one tactile idea — cushions finished with plump, outward-stitched edges, like pillows sewn proud of their seams — carried across an L-shaped sectional and a straight three-seater, in soft grey and burnt amber. Low platforms, slim black runner legs, and that puffed border running along every cushion's rim: a signature you recognize across the room and confirm by touch.
Design & Character
The edge is the identity. Where most upholstery hides its seams, Gota turns them out — each seat and back cushion bordered by a rolled, stitched lip that catches light and gives the whole piece a hand-finished, almost quilted character. The sectional stretches the idea across an open corner platform, its back panels set along the long edge, leaving the rest as lounging surface; the straight sofa concentrates it into a deep, enveloping two-cushion embrace. Graphic monochrome cushions punctuate both.
Materials & Finish
The upholstery is a brushed, suede-soft weave — dove grey in one expression, rich burnt amber in the other — chosen to show the edge-stitching in relief. The black runner frame beneath keeps both silhouettes light and identical in stance. Same construction, two temperaments: the grey recedes into calm; the amber turns the sofa into the room's color statement.
Made to Mix Across a Room
Gota's range logic is its strength: the grey sectional holds the main arrangement while the amber sofa answers from across the room — matched in detail, contrasting in tone — the designer's trick of a coordinated room that never looks bought in one afternoon. Singly, the sectional suits open modern plans; the straight sofa carries studies, bedrooms-with-space, and bold smaller living rooms.
Styling & Pairing
Let the patterned black-and-white cushions travel between the two pieces as the connecting thread. Around them: pale rugs, round white or timber tables, warm wood walls that flatter the amber. In the grey alone, add one amber accent elsewhere; the palette is already designed — borrow it.
Why This Piece
Collections usually share a name; Gota shares a seam. It suits buyers furnishing a whole room with intention, and anyone who judges furniture by edges — where honest making shows first. Run a finger along that stitched border at a showroom; the detail is the deed.
